Refund policy

Refund & Returns Policy

Last updated: 28 September 2026

At Your Pretty Things Ltd, we want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are not completely satisfied with an item, you may have the right to return it or request a refund in accordance with this Refund & Returns Policy and applicable UK consumer law.

Nothing in this policy affects or limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. Your Right to Cancel – Change of Mind

If you purchase an item from our online store, you generally have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without having to provide a reason.

If your order contains multiple items delivered separately, the 14-day period generally begins when you receive the final item in the order.

If you wish to cancel your purchase under these rights, you must notify us within the 14-day cancellation period. After notifying us, you normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.

Please contact us before returning any item so that we can provide you with the appropriate return instructions and return address.

2. How to Request a Return

To request a return or cancellation, please contact us at:

Email: yourprettythingsltd@gmail.com

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • Your name
  • The item(s) you wish to return
  • The reason for the return, if applicable
  • Photographs/videos and other information where the item is damaged, faulty or incorrect

Once we have received your request, we will provide you with the appropriate return instructions.

Important – Please Do Not Send Items to CJdropshipping Directly

Our products may be fulfilled by our third-party fulfilment partner, CJdropshipping. Returns are therefore not sent to a single permanent public return address.

Depending on the particular product and where the order was fulfilled from, the authorised return address may be a CJdropshipping warehouse in the UK, another country, or China.

The correct return destination is determined for the individual order and return case.

Please do not send a return to an address found on a previous order, an address provided by another customer, or directly to a CJdropshipping warehouse without first receiving return instructions from us.

We will provide you with the appropriate return address or return instructions for your specific order.

This process is used to ensure that returned goods can be correctly identified and processed.

3. Return Costs for Change-of-Mind Returns

If you are returning an item because you have changed your mind, you are generally responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, provided that we informed you of this responsibility before the purchase.

The return should be sent using an appropriate tracked delivery service where reasonably possible, and you should retain your proof of postage until your return has been processed.

If we have agreed to cover the return cost, we will confirm this to you before the item is returned.

4. Faulty, Damaged, Incorrect or Misdescribed Items

Your statutory rights apply if an item is:

  • Faulty or defective
  • Damaged when received
  • Not as described
  • Not of satisfactory quality
  • Not fit for the purpose for which it was sold
  • The wrong item or variation

If you receive an item with a problem, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide photographs or other relevant information where appropriate.

We will assess the issue and, where appropriate, offer the remedy required under applicable consumer law. Depending on the circumstances, this may include a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

Where goods are faulty or otherwise do not conform to the contract, you will not be required to pay return costs that we are legally responsible for.

30-Day Short-Term Right to Reject

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, qualifying faulty or non-conforming goods may generally be rejected within 30 days of delivery for a refund.

This 30-day period does not mean that your legal rights necessarily end after 30 days. Depending on the circumstances, further rights to repair, replacement, price reduction or rejection may apply after this period.

5. Refunds for Cancelled Orders

Where you exercise your legal right to cancel an online order, we will refund the relevant amount in accordance with applicable law.

Refunds will normally include the cost of the standard delivery service you originally selected. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we are generally only required to refund the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option we offered.

We will normally issue the refund within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or, where permitted by law, receiving evidence that the goods have been returned.

Refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless we have agreed otherwise with you.

6. Condition of Returned Goods

If you are returning an item because you have changed your mind, you are entitled to handle the goods to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, in a similar way to how you would reasonably be able to inspect them in a shop.

If the goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, you may be responsible for any resulting reduction in their value, where permitted by law.

This does not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise do not conform to the contract.

7. Items That Cannot Be Returned Under the Normal Cancellation Right

Certain goods are excluded from the statutory cancellation right under UK law.

Depending on the circumstances, these may include goods that:

  • Are made to your specifications or clearly personalised
  • Are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly
  • Are sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons where the seal has been broken
  • Fall within another statutory exception to the cancellation right

Where an item falls within a statutory exception, we will make this clear where required.

These exclusions do not remove any separate statutory rights you may have if the goods are faulty, damaged, misdescribed or otherwise do not conform to the contract.

8. Unauthorised Returns

Because our products may be fulfilled through different CJdropshipping warehouses, there is no single return address that applies to every order.

Please do not return an item without first contacting us and receiving the correct return instructions.

An item sent to an incorrect or unauthorised address may not be identifiable or may not reach the appropriate fulfilment facility.

This requirement is an administrative procedure for processing your return and does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

9. Refunds Without a Physical Return

In some circumstances, particularly where an item is low in value or where returning the item would be disproportionate, we may offer a refund without requiring the item to be physically returned.

Any such offer will be confirmed to you in writing.

Where a physical return is legally required or reasonably necessary to process your request, we will provide the appropriate return instructions.

10. Damaged Items

If your parcel arrives visibly damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and provide photographs of:

  • The outer packaging
  • The shipping label
  • The damaged item
  • Any internal packaging

Please retain the item and its packaging until we have provided further instructions.

We will review the issue and arrange the appropriate remedy where the goods have been damaged in transit or otherwise do not conform to the contract.

11. International Returns

Customers outside the UK may be provided with a return address in a different country depending on the fulfilment location of the particular product.

Where a return is required, we will provide the applicable return instructions for the individual order.

For customers exercising a statutory cancellation right, responsibility for the direct cost of returning goods will be determined in accordance with applicable consumer law and the information provided before purchase.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected regardless of the location of the return facility.

12. How to Contact Us

For all return, cancellation and refund enquiries, please contact:

Your Pretty Things Ltd
Email: yourprettythingsltd@gmail.com

Please include your order number in your email so that we can locate your order and provide the appropriate instructions.

13. Your Statutory Rights

This policy is intended to explain our returns procedure and does not affect your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer protection legislation, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, where applicable.

If any provision of this policy conflicts with your statutory consumer rights, your statutory rights will prevail.
